3 songs. 15 minutes.

So I have 15 minutes to type this post out without stopping whatsoever. And I’m so ‘organized’ that I even set an alarm clock on my also-Samsung phone. Nice one Sarah. Yet, I don’t even bother putting an alarm clock at 5:15, which is the time that I am supposed to wake up for school in the morning. Eh. Whatever.

First song: I won’t give up by Jason Mraz.

Yes, it is a love song. Yes yes yes. But this song is not important to me because it reminds me of a loved one or something, oh no no. It is because of my friends. This song reminds me of our good ol’ days in year 9 (which is last year.. oh how quick time flies when there is the IGCSE’s waiting for us to jump into it’s arms and cry). My best friends used to mock me about this song, saying it is about ‘a somebody’ *scoff* and that that person is ‘dedicating’ that song to me through a piece of artwork he had done for Art. What a load of rubbish. Such good memories were made during the years 2012-2013… and so many things we have gone through.

Second song: I can’t fight this feeling by REO Speedwagon.

I know this is a 70’s song… or 80’s. I’m not entirely sure. But anyways, this song… It’s my parents’ song. Like.. It’s THEIR song. My mom would alwaysย alwaysย open this song on the radio every single morning, no matter where we are (ok maybe not really ‘no matter where’ seeing as it would be a bit weird to suddenly blast it out at Starbucks or McDonalds) and she would always tell us (or me, if I’m the only one there) that this is her and my dad’s song, and only theirs. I’ve listened to this song so many times that I know the goddamn lyrics. And the lyrics are pretty freaking deep stuff man, let me tell you that. Anyways, I know that it doesn’t exactly have anything to do with me but it’s pretty important to know that the song basically summarizes how my parents got together and… yeah. It’s pretty special to me ๐Ÿ™‚ . Okay I’m probably repeating things now.

Third song: R U Mine? by Arctic Monkeys

I had a bit of trouble for the third song simply because of the fact that I have got a lot of songs to put here but I had to make my mind up pretty damn quickly SO I picked this song here. It is a rock song and it is probably my gateway to other rock songs and indie songs. It was recommended to my by my sister and … I wasn’t exactly sure of it the first time I heard it as I was in my Big Time Rush phase and was very obsessed with them so at that time my brain was set to ‘nice decent boyband music only’ mode but soon it grew on me and I. Friggin. Love. It. Now. It reminds a lot of my sister and brother – who are currently studying in Malaysia right now – and whenever I listen to it would sort of bring back memories we had together.

Sigh.

So many good songs to listen to, but so little time (and sometimes bother).
